County, local BOCES to receive Juul settlement funds
TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. — Tompkins County and area educational organizations are set to receive $657,313 from a multi-state settlement payout from the e-cigarette company Juul Labs. The funds must be used for programs to reduce or deter youth e-cigarette use, research into such programs or enforcement of anti-vaping regulations.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24th from noon to 4 p.m. at the Instructional Support Center at 435 Glenwood Road in Binghamton. Teacher aides provide support to both teachers and students alike in the classrooms and potential candidates will be able to learn the responsibilities of an aide, fill out applications, and participate in immediate interviews and reference checks.
