CASPER, Wyo. — A Wyoming man has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for assault by strangulation. Arapahoe resident Daniel Anthony Whiteplume, 26, was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl, who imposed the sentence on July 10, according to a release by the U.S. Justice Department.
Balloonists injured in crash landing in east Casper Saturday
CASPER, Wyo. — A balloonist was injured Saturday after being ejected from the basket during a descent over east Casper during the annual Casper Balloon Roundup. Casper Police Department Spokesperson Amber Freestone said the event was reported around 7 a.m. Saturday.
