Ball Gowns and Softball made for an Entertaining Game in Lander
On Friday night, Project Carpe Diem delivered good old family fun to the baseball diamond in Lander City Park for the second time this month. At the first annual Softball BALL Game, local softball players donned floor-length ball gowns and hit the turf for four innings of sporting silliness. City backs Clean Crow Creek Initiative, spends $100K in emergency procurement for roof repairs
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne is one step closer to better promoting clean water in Crow Creek. At Monday night’s Cheyenne City Council meeting, councilmembers voted to support the Clean Crow Creek Initiative, which aims to improve the waterway’s quality via catch basin stormwater filters, according to a council resolution. The governing body approved a slew of other agenda items, including spending $100,000 for an emergency procurement, provision of youth services, bid considerations and appointment of Robert R. Rose as Cheyenne Municipal Court magistrate hearing judge.

NOLS Cross Country Bicycle Ride ended in Lander
A group of 12 riders rode down Main Street in Lander Thursday afternoon at the end of their 2,200-plus mile bike ride from Pittsburgh, Pa., to Duluth, Minn., and then to Lander. The riders, who were made up of nine students, one NOLS instructor, and two Pittsburgh Youth Leadership (PYL) staff, were grinning ear to ear as they cruised downhill past the Lander Mills sign signifying the end of a long journey.
