Hot summer temps to stick around well into next week for Casper
CASPER, Wyo. — Temperatures will return to the 90s this weekend and well into the upcoming work week as high pressure settles in and builds over central Wyoming today. Today’s forecast high from the National Weather Service in Riverton is 89 in Casper. That’ll be accompanied by sunny skies and a light west wind increasing to 11–16 mph by mid-morning. Gusts could reach 24 mph. Winds are expected through this evening as the low begins to fall toward 56. Clear skies are expected tonight as well.

An Arizona man is facing a felony drug possession charge after a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper reportedly found methamphetamine in his SUV. Wildfire haze will hang in the sky as temperatures warm through the weekend
GILLETTE, Wyo. — Lingering smoke from neighboring wildfires will create hazy skies and dampen air quality in and around Campbell County today. The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, is expecting mostly clear skies, save for the haze, and a high of 87. There’s a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms between 2 and 5 p.m. Mostly clear skies will continue into tonight as the low falls to around 57.

Athletes Reflect on ’24 High School Finals Rodeo
High school students from 44 U.S. states, five Canadian provinces, Australia, Mexico, and New Zealand came together to compete in 16 National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) events July 14-20 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
