PA Man Arrested for Domestic Incident in Rehoboth Beach
A Pennsylvania man was arrested by Rehoboth Beach Police after a domestic incident at a local hotel last week. Police contacted 45 year old Joseph Milano of Columbia, PA and the victim, Milano’s 34 year old girlfriend. Police learned the two had been arguing for several hours when the argument became physical and Milano struck the woman in the face – then began to choke her and smother her with a pillow. The victim kicked him to get free. The victim suffered multiple bruises and minor cuts.
Wilmington Man Arrested After Traffic Stop in Dewey Beach
A traffic stop by Dewey Beach Police Friday night led to the arrest of a Wilmington man on a variety of charges. Police detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and the driver handed police a New York driver’s license belonging to another person. The driver was later identified as 36 year old Ramone Shy of Wilmington. Shy attempted to run off on foot, but was arrested after a brief foot race. A search of the vehicle turned up black gloves, a flashlight, wire cutters, glass window punch and a flat-head screwdriver – which are commonly used for burglary. REHOBOTH BEACH, DE– Sussex County fire crews collaborated on the water rescue of a kayaker Friday in the Rehoboth Bay following an extensive search. Dispatch received reports shortly after noon on July 19 of a 40-year-old kayaker who could not be found. Officials say he had last been seen in the area of Savage Ditch and Massey’s ditch.
