St. Clair County Animal Services in danger of flooding, fosters desperately needed
ST. CLAIR COUNTY (First Alert 4) -- Foster homes are needed for pets as the St. Clair County Animal Services building is in danger of flooding. Gateway Pet Guardians and other partner organizations are working to rescue dogs from the animal services facility in Belleville. The Belleville Area Humane Society rescued cats from the facility.

South County under flash flood warning, roads closed in some areas
The National Weather Service of St. Louis has issued a flash flood warning for portions of St. Louis County, including South County until 3 p.m. Tuesday. The flash flood warning was issued for St. Louis City, St. Louis, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles and Warren counties in Missouri. Monroe and St. Clair counties in Illinois are also included in the warning.

ST. LOUIS — Two prominent former city officials who pleaded guilty to taking bribes from a local businessman have been released from federal prison. Federal prison records show former Aldermanic President Lewis Reed and former 21st Ward Alderman John Collins-Muhammad are in the custody of the St. Louis Residential Reentry Management field office. The office supervises people serving time on home confinement or in halfway houses.
