‘Room Enough’ Rehoboth history author to appear Aug. 2
Browseabout Books will host Roger Truitt, author of “Room Enough,” for a signing event from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2, at 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Truitt’s historical novel tells the story of the founding of Rehoboth as a seaside camp meeting revival venue in 1873. It reveals how the city was initially developed by the Rev. Robert Todd and then changed dramatically over the next eight years as the railroad was extended from Lewes and the “sinners” prevailed over the “saints.”

Patricia graduated from North Tarrytown High School in 1957 and went on to attend Westchester Community College. The Lewes Major League All-Stars began their journey for a state title with a 10-0 mercy-rule victory over Naamans in four innings July 24 in Middletown. Dodging rain drops, the Lewes bats were hot and pitcher Finn Gannon had ice in his veins. Gannon had the Naamans team off balance all game, scattering just three hits while striking out two. He also helped himself at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
