Polk County K-9 to receive new body armor in memory of fallen DMPD K-9
DES MOINES, Iowa — A Polk County K-9 now has its own body armor, thanks to a donation in memory of a Des Moines police K-9. K-9 Bax received the present from a nonprofit group whose mission is to protect K-9s. Vested Interest in K-9s is giving the department a protective vest for Bax. ADEL, Iowa — An Adel family is calling for change along Highway 169 after their grandfather passed away on Sunday from being in a car accident. According to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, Jack Chapman, 87, was stopped on N Avenue near the intersection of Common Place.
