Dundee man killed in car crash in the Town of Milo

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man from Dundee was killed in a car crash in the Town of Milo late Thursday evening.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, 42-year-old Robert Basset Jr. was driving south on Lakemont Himrod Road in the Town of Milo around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, when he went off-road and crashed into a tree.

Deputies said Bassett was pronounced dead at the scene by the Yates County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation.
