Milton woman dead, 2 injured after Monday crash in Santa Rosa County: FHP

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A woman is dead, and two others are injured after a van ran off the road Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers with the FHP said the crash happened around 12:54 p.m. on July 15, when a Honda Odyssey van traveling south on State Road 87, just north of State Road 89, ran off the roadway to the right.

“The van became airborne, collided with the ground, and rolled over,” an FHP release said.

The collision ejected the front-seat passenger, a 67-year-old Milton woman, from the vehicle, according to the release. She was flown to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The driver, a 65-year-old Milton woman, and rear passenger, a 44-year-old Columbia Heights, Minn., were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
