A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly throwing a metal dustpan at his neighbor and slapping her phone out of her hands for filming it. Officers responded to a battery at an undisclosed Leesburg address around 12:48 p.m. Monday, June 24, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The female victim advised that her neighbor, 56-year-old Paul Albert Jette, threw a pan at her, smacked her phone out of her hand and pushed her.
‘Kids of all ages’ encouraged to come to model train show in The Villages
The Camp Villages Model Train Show is coming to the Savannah Center and will be free for everyone in The Villages and all surrounding communities. The Villages Model Train Club will host the event July 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the recreation center, located at 1545 Buena Vista Boulevard. The group is looking forward to “kids of all ages” attending the show, especially local children and grandchildren.
