After another runner-up, silver-medal finish in the 200 meters at the Paris Olympics, it appears Kenny Bednarek is already sprinting toward the 2028 Summer Games starting blocks in Los Angeles.

The former Rice Lake High School star is not exactly going full Noah Lyles as far as predictions four years from now, but his goals did not include the silver lining of placing second.

Instead, Bednarek was bold about about going for multiple golds.

On X (the the site formerly known as Twitter) Sunday, Bednarek posted the following:

“2x Olympian and 2x Silver Medalist. Representing my country and Team USA is an honor I’ll never take lightly. Competing in three events this year has taught me so much, and it’s only fueled my hunger for more. LA 2028 is in my sights and I’m aiming for one thing: 3 gold medals.”

In addition to finishing behind Botswana's Letslie Tebogo in the 200 meters, Bednarek finished seventh in the 100 while the 4x100 relay team he was part of was disqualified.

His times and finishes in the Olympic heats in the 100 and 200 suggest he will again have a realistic shot at a golden moment in 2028.
