Coffee shop inside the Menomonee Falls Public Library will have its grand opening Sept. 6

The date is set for the opening of the coffee shop inside of the Menomonee Falls Public Library.

Latitude Café will open Friday, Sept. 6, with grand opening activities that day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a news release from The Chamber , which serves the Greater Menomonee Falls and Sussex region.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held the previous day, Sept. 5, at 4:15 p.m.

Latitude Café is a locally-owned coffee shop that has been in Germantown, at W156 N9636 Pilgrim Road, since 2003. In 2019, the current owners Amber and Daniel Levy bought Latitudes Coffee House and changed the name to Latitude Café . The shop features locally made and sourced sandwiches, soups and different kinds of coffee.

Latitude Café will provide 10% of its gross revenue generated from the coffee shop to the library.

“We are thrilled to welcome Latitude Café to our Library,” Library Director Jacqueline Rammer said in a released statement. “The Village and Library Boards have supported this endeavor, and we look forward to promoting this unique and delicious offering to our Library patrons.”

What will the grand opening activities on Sept. 6 entail?

According to the release, the grand opening Sept. 6 will have activities and events for all ages. There will be a library-wide scavenger hunt all day on Sept. 6

Rammer will give tours of the library at noon and 2 p.m.

Latitude Café will be offering one gift bag per family while supplies last and free raffle tickets for the chance to win a gift basket with goodies from Menomonee Falls businesses.

Where will Latitude Café be inside the library?

Latitude Café will be on the second floor of the library and operating out of the library's former snack room. The library is at W156N8436 Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Falls.

What will be on Latitude Café's menu?

Menu items for Latitude Café will include yogurt parfait, an acai bowl, a bacon panini and grilled cheese. Drinks will include flavored coffee, cappuccinos, cold brews and a spiced cake mocha. For non-coffee drinks, menu items include a chai latte, Italian soda, steamers and a fruit smoothie.

What are the hours of Latitude Café at the Menomonee Falls Public Library?

The hours of Latitude Café for inside the Menomonee Falls Public Library are for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed on Sunday.
