    Donald Trump says 'a shooter won't force me to change' after 'assassination attempt'

    Former president Donald Trump has announced he's heading to Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention , despite the recent violence at his Pennsylvania rally.

    Trump declared on Truth Socia l: "Based on yesterday's terrible events, I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin, and The Republican National Convention, by two days, but have just decided that I cannot allow a 'shooter,' or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else."

    He confirmed : "Therefore, I will be leaving for Milwaukee, as scheduled, at 3:30 PM TODAY. Thank you! DJT," reports the Express US .

    Meanwhile, a Democratic congressman's staffer has caused a stir online with a Facebook post expressing that she wished the person who attempted to assassinate ex-president Donald Trump "had better aim." Jacqueline Marsaw, who works as a field director for Mississippi representative Bennie G. Thompson, made the controversial remarks on Facebook shortly after an incident where Trump was shot in the ear during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania .

    "I don't condone violence but please get some shooting lessons so you don't miss next time ooops that wasn't me talking," Marsaw is reported to have said by The Daily Mail. Marsaw followed up with another comment saying, "That's what your hate speech got you!!"

    The 61-year-old Marsaw removed the post, but not before it was captured and circulated on the internet. The comments have led to a backlash on social media, reports the US Sun.
