    A 63-year-old Milwaukee man is dead after his car was found submerged in Lake Michigan

    A 63-year-old Milwaukee man is dead after his vehicle was spotted submerged in Lake Michigan Saturday night in Oak Creek.

    The report came in to the dispatch center around 10:55 p.m. July 13, according to the Oak Creek Fire Department. The vehicle was about 50 feet from the Bender Park boat launch in 8 to 10 feet of water.

    First responders of the Oak Creek Fire Department removed the man from the vehicle. He was identified as Robert Morales, according to a Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's report. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 12:20 a.m. July 14, according to the ME's report.

    The preliminary manner of death is listed as undetermined, per the report.

    Morales' daughter, who lives in Illinois, identified him via photo.

    The Milwaukee Fire Department’s dive team searched the area surrounding the vehicle but did not find any other occupants.

    The South Milwaukee Fire Department also assisted with the incident.

    The Journal Sentinel has reached out to the Oak Creek Fire Department for updates on the investigation and this story will be updated if additional information is received.
