The 2024 Republican National Convention has kicked off in Milwaukee, and, to show their support for former President Donald Trump, attendees demonstrating their passion through patriotic fashion.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel staff took to the streets to find the RNC's boldest outfits and hear the stories behind them. Here's a look at what people are wearing during the convention:

Attendees wore outfits featuring 'so much red, white and blue.'

During the convention, Marliza Melzer sported a sequined red, white and blue cowboy hat with an American flag scarf on Day 2 of the Republican National Convention. "I just went shopping for red, white and blue before I came, and I've never had so much red, white and blue in my life."

Melzer is a delegate alternate for the state of Washington. On Tuesday, she was headed to convention proceedings after a Moms for Liberty event.

Duane Schwingel, an RNC attendee, was dressed in the “spirit of Uncle Sam.” Schwingel wore a bandage over his ear, honoring former President Trump, and he scribbled "Fight, Fight, Fight" on the cloth.

The American Flag was everything, from skirts and scarves to pants.

Susan Reneau regularly dons her American flag skirt when she’s home in Montana, but for the Republican National Convention, she decorated her denim vest in political pins.

On the second day of the RNC, Annie Garrett strolled through Convention Fest wearing a festive pair of American flag jeans. She arrived at the convention as a guest of the state of Delaware. Garrett spends a lot of her time working on the Reawaken America tour and other conservative policy efforts.

Seeing Trump was Garrett's highlight of the first day: "It was good to see him live and in person with his ear covered, and also some of the speakers were great."

Jay Kremmerer's star-spangled button-up shirt was selected by his wife, who dressed him for the day. He told reporters that she had the exact same outfit on with a bright red pair of pants. "I like the spirit of it,” he said.
