Panther Volleyball at ISU Camp
The Panorama Panthers participated in a two day camp at Iowa State in the Cyclone gyms. While not directly officiated with Iowa State University, the two day volleyball camp on July 24 & 25 includes a day of drills and practice alongside a day of scrimmages. The Cyclone Volleyball camp website says, “This camp is designed to give teams a head start to the volleyball season. This is strictly a competition camp with competitive drills vs another team on Day 1 and a tournament format on Day 2. We will have a camp coach on each court to run drills, officiate, and provide limited feedback. Camp runs from 9am-5pm with a break for lunch.”
Individual Summer Sports Statistics Part 4: Noah Kading and Jayla Hoover
With the summer sports season over, we take a look at individual statistics for AC/GC baseball and softball players. For the baseball team, junior Noah Kading started in all 25 of the team’s games, recording 75 at bats, 10 runs and 27 hits, of which 25 were singles and two were doubles. He also had 14 RBI’s, 29 total bases, a batting average of .360, on base percentage of .437 and slugging percentage of .387. He also attempted to steal bases nine times, and was successful on seven of those attempts.
Iowa’s revenue boosted by popularity of women’s sports, ISU sees rise in ticket sales
The University of Iowa athletics department is expecting another record-breaking year while Iowa State University Athletics is working to handle changes to expected revenues as a result of collegiate athletic conferences shifting, university budget documents show. With revenues slated to increase in football, women’s basketball, wrestling and volleyball, among other areas, the UI is projecting a total income of more than $150 million for fiscal year 2025, just over a 7% increase from last year. ...
