Saturday Dumpling Co. will open a new fast-casual restaurant in the former Glam Doll Donuts space in northeast Minneapolis this fall.

Owners Peter Bian and Linda Cao announced their plans to move into this space permanently, departing their current kitchen space at Dots Gray Kitchen. They also plan to continue running their catering service from the new location.

"We will absolutely keep our frozen line of dumplings going," Peter Bian said in the press release. "We'll have plenty of frozen packs of dumplings for sale at our new shop to pick up and take home whenever our doors are open!"

The restaurant, to be located at 519 Central Ave. NE, will offer "counter-service" with 45 indoor seats and a small outdoor seating area.

Bian and Cao plan to serve three types of dumplings: steamed, pan-fried, and deep-fried, with multiple filling options of pork, beef, chicken, and vegetarian. The menu will also feature rice bowls, "scallion pancake burritos," and other Chinese snack and beverage options, according to the announcement.

The hours will be from Wednesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., to gradually get to seven days a week.

Saturday Dumping Co. favorites will continue to be served at Dots Gray and additional pop-ups throughout the summer until the new restaurant opens.
