The Minnesota Vikings are set to report to training camp starting on Sunday, July 21st with the rookies. Veterans report on the 23rd but the initial report date is the most important.

When rookies report to training camp, it's the true beginning of their inaugural season. With the rookie wage scale in place since 2011, holdouts have been few and far between.

Right now, there's some concern that quarterback J.J. McCarthy and edge rusher Dallas Turner could end up being holdouts for training camp. Neither have signed their rookie contracts yet and it could end up being an issue. SKOR North's Darren Wolfson spoke with safety Josh Metellus about their contract situation and he had a very simple response.

    "Don't worry about it."

It's hard to not be concerned about it with two of the three players who have not signed their rookie contracts being selections of the Vikings. It's especially concerning with McCarthy's rookie season since every practice is exceptionally important.

Now, Metellus has more of a connection with these two than others on the team, as he and McCarthy share an alma mater (Michigan) and he and Turner share a hometown (Fort Lauderdale).

It's hard to not be concerned with this situation, but there is still plenty of time to get the contracts signed.
