MINNEAPOLIS — Our sunny start will fade behind clouds on Thursday as our next disturbance begins to arrive.

By the afternoon, some showers and storms will roll into western Minnesota, but they won't move into the Twin Cities until the evening hours.

The steadiest rain looks to be Friday morning before becoming more spotty later in the day. Expect a half-inch to an inch of precipitation from the metro south, with 1-1.5 inches possible across northern Minnesota.

The threat of severe weather remains low for many, with a slight risk — 2 on a scale of 5 — for damaging wind and hail in south-central Minnesota.

High pressure is back to dry us up just in time for Pride weekend festivities. Temperatures will stay comfy in the 70s with some breezes being the only hiccup on Saturday.

Another round of rain and storms is in the forecast for Monday into Tuesday.
