Tampa Bay Rays fans are dropping like flies at Tropicana Field this week. Well… they’re falling just as fast as the Minnesota Twins, who lost their second-straight game.

But when you see something impossible happen, does it really matter who wins or loses? Because that’s what happened just took place in St. Petersburg. Two nights in-a-row, a Rays fan ended up on the wrong side of a Twins home run.

Tampa Bay Rays fan hit in the face by Minnesota Twins home run… again

This time around, it was a line drive headshot in the left field corner, off the bat of Carlos Santana. In an 0-1 count, with a runner on 2nd base and two outs, the 38-year-old Dominican blasted this 113 MPH rope off Tyler Alexander, to bring the score within 5 runs.

But someway, somehow, another Rays fan thought it would be a good idea to catch a Minnesota Twins homer without a glove. And just like 24 hours earlier, he was wrong.

On the front-end, it appears this fan made it out better than last night’s, who was knocked out cold by Trevor Larnach’s 112+ MPH laser to right field. Fortunately, that fan made it out okay, and even got a souvenir and on-field experience out of the deal.

We’ll see what kind of reward this Rays fan receives for making poor life decisions. Maybe a signed glove that he can wear to the game next time?
