MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — Representatives from Health and Human Services (HHS) are at the State Fair in the Commercial II building all week long.

They will be answering questions on behavioral health concerns, giving out resources, and sharing tips.

Communication builds the trust between kids and their parents along with caregivers and their patients says program administrator Sarah Kapp.

It helps when tough conversation topics of underage drinking and bullying come up.

Some tools they have at the booth are conversation starter cards, brochures, pamphlets, and 988 resources.

Kapp mentions some signs of bullying your kid will show if they are a victim of bullying are isolation, eating and sleeping habits might change.

“We really try to meet parents where they are at and provide those basic tools so we are not giving parents classes to take we are not giving them different research they have to do. We are doing the research and then providing the different tools they can use and are relatable too,” said Kapp.

On top of all these resources they all also have free Narcan training along with free Narcan at the booth along with art activities and a photo booth.
