After two years of sometimes-heated debate about zoning in Prairie Village, the city council has finally approved updates to some of the city’s zoning codes. The Prairie Village City Council on Monday in a 12-1 vote — with Mayor Eric Mikkelson voting with the majority — approved tweaks to zoning codes impacting the city’s few multifamily, commercial and mixed-used districts, including the Shops of Prairie Village and Corinth Square shopping centers.

KC business owner pleads guilty to wiring drug profits to Mexico
An Olathe, Kansas business owner has pleaded guilty in federal court for her role in a money-laundering conspiracy tied to drug trafficking operations.
