Banned competitor raises safety concerns at Edinburg Motorsports Park
EDINBURG — A once active participant of events at Edinburg Motorsports Park is raising alarming concerns over driver and spectator safety at the popular drag strip. Luis Arévalo, whose family has often participated in races at the high octane track since the 1990s, said he’s concerned that officials who operate the track — and with the city of Edinburg — aren’t doing enough to address potentially deadly hazards at the track.
