Enrollment increase and real momentum
In Kansas, many colleges have had a decrease in enrollment, but this is not the case at Pittsburg State, according to the Vice President of Student Life and Enrollment Management, Karl Stumo. All American University’s choose a date either ten or twenty days into classes for their census, which is Sept. 16 for Pittsburg State. Enrollment numbers can change, but as of Aug. 16, enrollment numbers are looking toward a positive direction compared to 2023. In terms of how the University has done, Stumo stated, “Every year, we do our very best to improve, going to as many high schools and attending as many college fairs as we can. This year one of the biggest changes was with the expansion of the Great Gorilla Scholarship Program.”
