Local man arrested in shooting death of wife

A local man has been arrested following the shooting death of his wife, accorind to the Hinds County Sheriff.

A fatal shooting investigation occured in the early morning hours in the 3500 block of Green Gable Rd. in Terry, accoridng to HCSO.

Deputies responded to a shooting at 7:15 AM on Monday, August 2th.

The report indicates a female was deceased and a male was in custody.

After an investigation by deputies in relation to the Green Gable Rd. Homicide 67 year old Tony Morris is in custody for the alleged shooting death of his wife, Kathleen Morris, aged 64, at their residence.

According to the report, she suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. Motive is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
