Desoto County Sheriff Warns of Scam

Desoto County Sheriff's Department has issued a warning of an individual attemtpting to scam people over the phone by calling and pretending to be Captain Danny Wilkey. According to the department, the scammer is threatening arrest for fines and demanding money.

The Desoto County Sheriff's Department stresses that they will never request fines over the phone.

This is according to a social media post by the official Desoto County Sheriff's Department channel.

It is advised that if someone calls and attempts to use this scam, to contact the Desoto County Sheriff's Department at 662-469-8027. Please do not fall for this phone scam.
