Federal officials allow Oregon to offer Medicaid services to those behind bars
Federal officials have approved Oregon’s request to offer free Medicaid services for addiction and some other services to people who are on the verge of being released from jail or prison, something that’s prohibited by federal law. PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - We had a little bit of excitement this morning with the scattered thunderstorms! Maybe you heard the rumbles of thunder overnight. These isolated storms did drop small amounts of rain for us west of the Cascades (less than a tenth of an inch everywhere) and produced lightning- mostly over the ocean and Coast Range. We did get some around the Portland metro area, though! The show was over for us by midday, and now the flashes of lightning are trekking northward across central and eastern Oregon. Fingers crossed those don’t result in any new fire starts.
