MONDOVI, Wis. (WEAU) - Whether set off by friends and neighbors or through official city displays, it’s hard to miss fireworks around the fourth of July. First Alert Weather: Dodging holiday rain, with a few severe storms possible
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - The more active weather pattern has made a quick comeback, and for those with outdoor plans for this Fourth of July holiday, you will need to remain weather aware, as scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely today. A few may be around through the noon hour, but chances are higher later this afternoon and evening when coverage is expected to be a bit more widespread. Any storms will be capable of producing heavier downpours with rainfall amounts potentially exceeding an inch where storms move over the same areas. The severe threat while on the low end overall, will include the potential for a few storms with large hail and strong wind gusts. Be sure to have a way to receive weather warnings, should they be issued for your area.
