    Monett police arrest two men for multiple vehicle thefts

    MONETT, Mo. — Two men have been arrested by the Monett Police Department (MPD) concerning a series of break-ins from the past three days.

    MPD says multiple unlocked vehicles were broken into between June 30 and July 2, with many items being stolen. The police received around 13 to 15 reports of vehicle break-ins in the neighborhood north of Pine Street in Monett.

    Two arrested after attempted ATM theft leads to pursuit

    The men, aged 18 and 19 of Monett, were arrested around the 300 block of Pine Street. Police recovered stolen items and the men were sent to the Monett Police Department pending formal charges. Additional suspects have also been identified.

    MPD says residents should keep their vehicles locked and remove any valuables from their vehicles.

    The Monett Police Department is currently investigating the situation.
