Feed our rural kids hosting cash for kids fundraiser
NORTHWOODS, WI. (WJFW) — Across the nation, many families suffer from food insecurity, but one local organization is fighting back right here in the Northwoods. Feed Our Rural Kids, also known as FORK, supplies meals to children who may need extra help to have a full belly. To support that mission, they are hosting their Cash for Kids fundraiser. Perry Pokrandt, the President of Feed Our Rural Kids, said FORK offers support to families in the Phillips, Northland Pines, and Three Lakes school districts, covering around 880 miles of northern Wisconsin.
Wausau Police Seize Over 170 Grams of Meth in Friday Morning Raid
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau Police seized a significant amount of meth from a west-side home Friday morning. According to a Facebook post officers with the Community Resource Unit and Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force teamed up to serve a warrant at the unspecified address. They seized more than 170 grams of the drug along with needles and other items.

The Wisconsin Historical Society will dedicate the first LGBTQ historic landmark in Wisconsin on Monday near the Downtown location where the Black Nite tavern once stood.
