    Wanted: Masked woman robs Truist Bank in Union County

    UNION COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — The Monroe Police Department is actively searching for a woman who they said robbed a local bank over the weekend.

    The crime occurred around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Truist Bank located at 2123 W. Roosevelt Blvd. in Monroe.

    Police said the woman, who is described as short and heavy-set, last seen wearing a black hat, dark glasses, and a surgical mask, robbed the bank and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

    Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call police at 704-282-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600. You may be eligible for a crash reward.
