Police K9 fundraiser and craft fair to be held in Monson

MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – Paws 4 Blue K-9, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting police K9 teams, will host a Police K9 Fundraiser and Craft Fair on Saturday, July 20th.

Paws 4 Blue K-9 provides financial assistance to police K9 teams through grants that can be applied for via their website . The fundraiser aims to address the funding gap faced by many police agencies, which often do not have allocated budgets for K9 programs. This financial burden typically falls on the handlers, who must cover expenses out of their own pockets.

“Our mission is very important,” said Jan, founder of Paws 4 Blue K-9. “Most police agencies lack the necessary funds for their K9 programs, and it’s often the handlers who end up paying out of their own pockets. We aim to alleviate this burden through our fundraising efforts.”

The fundraiser will feature a craft fair with various vendors, live demonstrations by police K9 teams, and family-friendly activities. Demonstrations by the dogs listed on the event flyer will begin at noon, showcasing their skills and the important work they do in law enforcement.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the K9 teams, watch live demonstrations, and enjoy the craft fair at the picturesque Westview Farms Creamery.
