The Fast and the Furious: Nature Edition. It's not everyday that you get to witness a chase down out in nature. One lucky person in Montana recently got to experience the thrill from the safety (?) of their parked vehicle, and they got it all on camera for the rest of us to enjoy. As the story goes, they had driven to a certain part of the wilderness in Montana where a fatal grizzly attack had occurred. When they got there, they almost had a front row seat to a deadly moose takedown - though not if the moose had anything to say about it. In the clip, a towering moose runs out of woods and temporarily stops by the car, looking back at where it had just came from. After pausing for a moment, it quickly kicks it into high gear once more, and it quickly becomes apparent why it was doing so. Not far behind the fleeing moose was a sprinting bear, and it was keeping up quite nicely with the larger animal. The person filming inside their car could barely believe their eyes (good thing the camera was rolling), and once the bear ran past the vehicle, they turned around to capture the continuing chase as the moose and bear kicked up dust running along the gravel road. The video's caption stated:
"On Tuesday, I went to an empty campground in Montana because it was the location of a fatal grizzly attack we covered on Tooth and Claw (my podcast). I saw a moose in the campground and went to take a short video of it…it ended up being a better video than I expected." https://twitter.com/grizkidd/status/1802195315086532683?s=46&t=sK4ZxpXri80bfkXt_M8Cog A better video than expected? Yeah, I'd say so. That's one of the coolest outdoors videos I've ever seen. I'm hoping the moose got away, but I do have to say, the bear looked like it was on nature's version of cruise control. It wasn't exerting much energy at all chasing down the moose. Social media users that saw the clip were amazed, and provided this commentary in the reply section below:
