Montclair Resident Awakens to Burglar with Flashlight Prowling Outside Bedroom Door

MONTCLAIR, NJ - A Montclair resident was startled awake by standing outside his bedroom door holding a flashlight, say police officials.

On July 23, 2024, a resident of Sunset Park told police that while asleep on the second floor of his home, he was startled awake by the sight of a flashlight beam outside his bedroom door.

Upon seeing the intruder, the resident immediately shouted, causing the suspect to flee downstairs and exit the house. It is believed that the suspect gained entry through a first-floor window. Unfortunately, the resident was unable to provide a description of the suspect.
