    13-year-old injured in Montgomery shooting

    A 13-year-old Montgomery teen suffered minor injuries in a Monday afternoon shooting, police say.

    He was treated at the scene and released, said Maj. Saba Coleman, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department.

    Police and fire medics went to the 500 block of Rosa L. Parks Avenue about 1:15 p.m. on a report of a disturbance and person shot, she said. They were told the teenager had had been injured, she said.

    MPD did not provide other information about the nature of the boy's injuries.

    The circumstances of the case remain under investigation, and no other information was immediately released. Police ask people with knowledge of the case to call CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP, the Secret Witness Line at 334-625-4000, or MPD at 334-625-2831.
