Montgomery County Woman Arrested on Drug Possession Charges
(Red Oak) Montgomery County Deputies arrested a Red Oak woman on drug possession charges late Sunday night. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Broadway Street in Red Oak. During the investigation, the Officer arrested 31-year-old Aundrea Theresa Clay for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Offense, and a Class D Felony.
Jill Cooper benefit Saturday
(Red Oak) -- KMAland residents are rallying around a Montgomery County resident battling cancer. Plans are set for a benefit for Jill Cooper Saturday from 4:30-to-7:30 p.m. at the Montgomery County Fairground's White Fair Building. Tammi VanMeter, Cooper's sister-in-law, is among the benefit's organizers. Speaking on KMA's "Morning Show" Monday morning, VanMeter says proceeds from the benefit will help defray Cooper's medical expenses.

Formerly of Red Oak and Villisca, her journey reached its serene conclusion on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Accura Healthcare of Stanton, marking 92 years, 8 months and 15 days of a life lived with purpose and love.
