A GoFundMe has been launched to help the family of a couple who died in a house fire on Sunday pay for funeral costs.

Roman and Betty Jindra, ages 76 and 73, called 911 before 1 a.m. on Sunday when their home in Montgomery, Minnesota, caught on fire.

They reported being trapped inside the home, with responders initially driven back due to the intense heat and heavy smoke, according to the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office.

They were ultimately found dead in their kitchen. The fundraiser is being launched to help their daughter, Jessica, with funeral expenses.

"There is an immense amount of love and support being offered to help their daughter," says fundraiser organizer, Debbie Koslowski.

"In an effort to help them with the funeral expenses, the family is setting up this site for anyone who wishes to donate memorials in lieu of flowers."

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
