DAR Chapter Continues Cleanup Of Historic Walker Gravesite
On Saturday, May 25, members of Pleasant Prospect Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) and the John Hanson Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) gathered to remember two soldiers who fought in the American Revolution. They raked leaves and cleaned the historic gravesites of Isaac and Nathan Walker, located behind Golden Triangle Drive in Greenbelt. Isaac Walker was a lieutenant during his service and his son, Nathan Walker, was a private during the American Revolutionary War.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A man is wanted in Montgomery County for allegedly trying to return stolen goods at a grocery store before assaulting an employee. According to police, they were called to the Giant Food grocery store in the 7100 block of Arlington Road in Bethesda for a strong-armed robbery, on Tuesday, June 25. A preliminary investigation showed the wanted man came in and tried to return items he didn’t pay for.

Suspect Arrested in Southeast D.C. Shooting, Charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
The Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection to a Southeast shooting incident that occurred in mid-April. On April 14, at approximately 2:20 p.m., police were called to the 2300 block of Marion Barry Avenue, Southeast, following reports of gunfire, on arrival, they discovered an adult male with gunshot injuries, who was subsequently taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, according to a press release by the MPD.
