Westmont Elementary Won’t Open On Time For The First Day Of School Monday
Westmont Elementary students will have a brand new building this school year, but it won’t be open when classes begin on Monday. The old Westmont Elementary building was torn down at the end of the 2021-2022 school year, making way for the new state-of-the-art facility that can house up to 900 students. Communications Squadron Donates Technology to Piedmont Academy
As part of the Department of Defense's Computers for Learning program, the 116th Communications Squadron has donated 200 iPad Minis to Piedmont Academy. Over the past decade, the squadron has donated countless information technology equipment to schools throughout the central Georgia area. The iPads were surplus equipment scheduled for disposal when the decision was made to assist a school rather than dispose of usable equipment. These devices will be utilized to increase the learning capabilities of the elementary-age students at Piedmont Academy through interactive and engaging methods.
