    Arrests, sentencings, fire calls for June 13

    Wright County Sheriff arrests:

    • Wayne William Neely Sr., 43, of Blaine was arrested June 4 in Monticello on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance.

    • Amy Marie Jarvis, 42, of Monticello was arrested June 5 in Monticello on charges of interfering with emergency phone calls and domestic assault.

    • Heidi Jean Stottler, 49, of Monticello was arrested June 6 in Otsego on a charge of first-degree controlled substance.

    • Steven Michael Friedrichs, 49, of Monticello was arrested June 7 in Cokato on a charge of violation of a domestic abuse no contact order.

    • Lauren Marie Janssen, 28, of Eden Prairie was arrested June 7 in Monticello on a charge of third-degree DWI.

    • Travis Raymond Anderson, 31, of Monticello was arrested June 8 in Monticello on a charge of third-degree DWI.

    • Jeffrey Scott Martens, 67, of Fergus Falls was arrested June 9 in Monticello on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance.

    Wright County Sheriff by the numbers:

    From June 3-10, there were 30 property-damage accidents, nine personal-injury accidents, three hit-and-run accidents, four car-vs-deer accidents, 14 DWI arrests, 17 for underage consumption, three school bus stop arm violations and 152 miscellaneous traffic violations reported.

    Wright County Attorney’s Office court sentences:

    • James Dale Thomas, 39, of Monticello, was sentenced on June 4 in two separate cases. In the first case, he was sentenced to 90 days jail, 60 days stayed on one year probation, must serve 30 days for domestic abuse, violating order for protection. In the second case, he was sentenced to stay of imposition, three years probation, 30 days jail, and fined $200 for domestic abuse, violating two or more orders for protection within 10 years of previous conviction/adjudication of delinquency.

    • Randy Dwaine Weeks, 41, of Big Lake, was sentenced on June 3 to 36 days jail and remain/reinstate on probation on all prior terms and conditions for probation violation for fifth-degree drugs, procure/possess/control by fraud or deceit.

    Monticello Fire Department calls for service:

    • Motor vehicle accident on Highway 25 and 7th Street West at 9:55 a.m. June 5

    • Motor vehicle accident on Highland Way and Broadway East at 11:23 a.m. June 5

    • Motor vehicle accident on Broadway West at 8:22 p.m. June 5

    • Residential fire alarm on Briar Oakes Boulevard at 8:45 p.m. June 6

    • Residential fire alarm on Park Drive at 8:56 p.m. June 9

    DNR Conservation Officer’s Report:

    • CO Trent Seamans (Big Lake) spent most of the week assisting with the Conservation Officer Academy. Additional time was spent patrolling the Mississippi River for boating safety. Enforcement action was taken for no life vests and fishing with a license in possession.

    • CO Adam Stennett (Annandale) worked the station for fishing, boating and ATV activity. A fisherman was found to be in possession of a northern pike in the protected slot. Enforcement action was taken and the fish was released. A class 2 (side by side) ATV operator was stopped for having two young juveniles riding in the cargo bed area of the ATV. The operator stated he purchased an aftermarket seat and bolted it to the bed of the ATV. A reminder that passengers are only allowed in areas where the ATV was originally manufactured for passengers. A pontoon operator was stopped for not displaying registration correctly. Stennett found the boat was rated to carry 10 people but there were 11 people on board, enforcement action was taken.

    • CO Brett Fox (St Cloud) spent the week patrolling for ATV, angling and boating activity. Fox also assisted the state patrol with a mobilization. Violations this week include ATV registration issues and fishing without a license.
