Above and beyond: Here are Monticello's scholar athletes for 2023-24

The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association recently honored its top senior student-athletes for each high school. Monticello High School selected Alexandra Dietz and Nathan Borko.

Here are their profiles:

Alexandra Dietz

GPA: 100

Class Rank: 12

Varsity Sports: Soccer; basketball; softball

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: National Honor Society

Athletic Honors: two-year team captain for soccer; team captain for basketball; varsity letters for soccer (four), basketball (two); softball (one); and track and field (one)

Community Service: Holiday toy drive; Thanksgiving food drive; Allyson Whitney Foundation volunteer; R4 5K volunteer; Monticello Fire Department Breakfasts

Future Plans: SUNY Brockport, to major in Nursing

Class Rank: 19

Varsity Sports: Soccer; baseball

Future Plans: University of Alabama, to major in Exercise Science
