Another Twins prospect flashes potential in rehab assignment
Last season, the Twins youth movement made waves in the majors and helped drive them through a playoff run, and this season a second youth movement is taking shape. The Twins have called up some of their top prospects with David Festa being the first and getting some great experience before being sent back down to Triple-A. Following Festa was Brooks Lee, who has taken the league by storm so far.

Carlos Correa wasn’t in the Twins lineup this weekend due to what was initially described as a bruised right heel. However, Correa and Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters (including The Athletic’s Dan Hayes) that the shortstop is dealing with a case of plantar fasciitis in his right foot, as was revealed in an MRI taken last night.

Inside the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx’s incredible ‘game-changing’ $25m HQ which includes new therapy tubs

The Courts at Mayo Clinic Square in downtown Minneapolis is one of the finest training facilities across the NBA and WNBA. Opened in June 2015, the privately-funded facility is the home to the both the Timberwolves […]
Vikings’ Struggling 3rd-Year Starter Projected as ‘Biggest Bust’ of Season
The Minnesota Vikings have referred to their current state of NFL existence as a competitive rebuild, which is apparently a phase that will continue through 2024. A conversation about competitiveness in the National Football League typically starts and ends with the quarterback position, as the Vikings’ situation does. Sam Darnold, a top-three bust with the New York Jets turned backup with the Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers, is essentially a $10 million placeholder for rookie and No. 10 overall pick J.J. McCarthy.
Recent take about Vikings QB Sam Darnold is extremely puzzling
The offense is going to look different for the Minnesota Vikings in 2024. The team moved on from quarterback Kirk Cousins and has started preparing for a future where J.J. McCarthy will handle those duties. The transition from Cousins to McCarthy will not be a direct one. Minnesota enlisted former...

Twins to place pivotal infielder on 10-day injured list
The Twins will place Jose Miranda on the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday's game with the Giants, manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters (including Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press). Utilityman Diego Castillo will have his contract selected from Triple-A to take Miranda’s spot on the active roster and the Twins will have to make another move to clear space on the 40-man roster.
Twins 4, Giants 2: Just the FOX, ma’am
This was probably the most vibe-less game I’ve seen all year, with FOX’s national broadcasters finding ways to talk about Groundhog Day, the wonders of lamination, accusing the New York umpiring crew of anti-coastal bias (huh?), and bow ties. With or without their investment, the Twins turned in a 4-2 west coast victory.
Vikings’ Justin Jefferson Did Not Contemplate Sitting Out 2023 Season Following Hamstring Injury
Jefferson suffered the injury in Week 5, leading to a notable absence for the first time in his record-setting career. Questions were raised about how willing he would be to return to the field given the fact extension talks from the previous offseason had not made it across the finish line. The 25-year-old could have shut himself down for the remainder of the campaign, but instead he suited up in Week 14 and played each subsequent contest.

Golden Valley’s New Equity and Inclusion Plans Bring City, Residents Together
The City of Golden Valley approved and published its new Equity Plan earlier this year. “We’re seeking to have more equitable engagement, creating more opportunities for community to have their input in the work of the city so that it ultimately hopefully reflects those needs and has better impact,” said Seth Kaempfer, the city’s equity and inclusion manager. “We don’t want to withhold information. We want community to have access to it. We want community to be able to understand it and see where we’re trying to go as a city but where we’re trying to go with community as a city as well.”
