All-American Classics Are Given A Farm-Fresh Spin At New Jersey's First Farm-To-Table Diner
New Jersey is definitely the diner capital of America, and we like it that way! These iconic, omnipresent, affordable eateries can usually be found in every town, and they’re a great place to fill up on a classic breakfast plate, burger, or hearty dinner. Key word – full. Diners are a lot of things, but they’re typically not light or healthy! Most of the time, that’s great – but sometimes you’re in the mood for something different. That’s where New Jersey’s newest diner, the Country MKT (Market) Diner comes into play. Located in Closter, this is the first farm-to-table diner in New Jersey, and was founded by a pair of chefs to take over the now-defunct Valley Diner. The menu has all our classic diner favorites, but with a healthy and local twist thanks to partnerships with local farmers and vendors. It just opened in early 2024, and I can see it becoming one of my favorite diners!

Sleepy Coffee, Too Finally Opens their Doors
If the line to get into Sleepy Coffee, Too’s April grand opening serves as any indication of the caffeine void the shop will fill on Sleepy Hollow’s Beekman Avenue, their baristas are going to be very busy this year. An actual red carpet lined the street as people eager for a peek at the handsomely outfitted space and its offerings queued down the block patiently, waiting for a chance to finally step inside. But patience is a virtue founder Kim Kaczmarek knows well. When she first ventured several years ago to expand on Sleepy Coffee (the program run by Sleepy Hollow high schoolers with disabilities that Kaczmarek set up in her past life as a special education teacher), renovating the space from scratch became quite the undertaking.
