(June 27, 2024) – John Whiteside, CEO of SageWest Health Care in Riverton and Lander, was recently recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of its “Community Hospital CEOs to Know” for 2024. This list recognizes CEOs of community hospitals for their efforts in providing coordinated and affordable care, encompassing acute care, primary care, rehabilitation, public health services, and more. Nationwide, 160 CEOs were featured in the listing, including three from Wyoming.

Sheridan Region AIS watercraft check stations hours
The Wyoming Game and Fish has reported that the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) watercraft inspection stations are operating with expanded summer hours in the Sheridan Region. The department wishes to remind the public that from March 1 through Nov. 30, all watercraft entering Wyoming must be inspected prior to launching. Watercraft operators must also stop whenever they encounter an open check station on their route of travel.

6-year-old Gillette girl dies in ATV crash
GILLETTE, Wyo. — A 6-year-old Gillette girl died in an ATV crash Thursday afternoon, according to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office. The girl, identified by Campbell County Coroner Paul Wallem as Elizabeth C. Garner, was run over by an ATV near Gold Buckle Drive and Highway 51 west of Rozet. Deputies responded to calls just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday reporting that a child had been run over by an ATV, according to the report from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.
