Search for 19-year-old missing since leaving family's shop in Moorhead

Authorities in Moorhead are asking the public to help locate a 19-year-old who "walked away from his family's shop" around 10 p.m. Monday, July 1 and has not been seen or heard from since.

Arthur L. Wiebe, does not have cellphone, vehicle or any credit or debit cards, and the BCA says he might've have a small amount of cash when he went missing.

"He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with black near the shoulder, gray pants and darker colored shoes," the BCA said Thursday. "If you locate Arthur or have any information about his whereabouts, please contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660 and ask to speak with the on-duty Moorhead Police supervisor."

Wiebe was last seen leaving the family shop on the 4100 block of 34th Ave. S. He was walking westbound and "may have been attempting to return" to his home in Hunter, North Dakota, but may have "needed to seek shelter due to the rainstorm that was occurring a the time," Moorhead police said.

Residents in the area of the 4100 block of 34th Ave. S. are asked to check their property and review any video they might have.
