    11 homicides, 5 missing persons: Here's a list of Caddo Parish's cold cases

    Caddo Parish has 11 homicide cold cases that date back to 1991, and five missing persons cold cases that date back to 2001.

    Here is some information about these cold cases that was provided by Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers.

    Missing Persons

    April Gay Brown

    On July 4th, 2001, April Gay Brown, 31, was last seen leaving her home in Mooringsport, Louisiana. That day Brown left two sons behind and has yet to be seen or heard from since.

    Brown seems to have just vanished, according to Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers.

    Dorthy Allen Yates-McCathran

    On Jan. 21, 2020, Kevan McCathran came home to find his wife missing. Dorothy "Dottie" Yates-McCathran, 42, disappeared without a trace leaving behind her purse and ID.

    Kenneth Wayne Cole

    Kenneth Wayne Cole was last heard from on November 11, 2015, when he sent a text message to his mother saying he was okay.

    It is unknown where his last known location was.

    His disappearance was reported on Nov. 21, 2015

    Crystal Beal

    Crystal Beal, 34, was reported missing on Nov. 27, 2018, by her mother Melody Beal.

    Crystal was transported to Caddo Correctional Center from West Memphis, Arkansas, on Aug. 6, 2018, for an active bench warrant.

    She bonded out that night and was last seen and heard from on Aug. 8, 2018.

    Jesse Taylor

    Jesse Taylor, 36, was reported missing on July 23, 2020, by his mother Connie Taylor.

    Jesse was released from Claiborne Parish Detention Center on July 10, 2020, and was last seen by family on the Barron Road on July 18, 2020.

    According to Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers, during the investigation detectives learned Jesse was last seen in the Bossier City area on Aug. 19, 2020.

    Homicide

    Cindy Dale Cathey

    On September 14, 1993, the body of Cindy Dale Cathey, 23, was discovered at the end of Wallace Lake Road.

    Cathey died as a result of homicidal violence.

    Johnny Broadway

    On July 17, 1999, the body of Johnny Broadway, 18, was found on the levee behind the 600 block of Aero Drive in Shreveport.

    Broadway's death was the result of homicidal violence.

    Luther Meshell

    On March 27, 1991, Luther Meshell, 50, who was wheelchair-bound, was found murdered in his apartment located in the 1600 block of Michel Street in Shreveport.

    Mutrice Germany

    On January 23, 1994, Mutrice Germany, 22, was brutally murdered in the 1500 block of Texas Street. According to Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers, Germany's assailant fled the scene in a 1987 burgundy Oldsmobile.

    Roderick Simmons

    On September 24, 1999, Robert Simmons, 23, was reported missing.

    Two months later, his body was found by hunters near a power line in the 7500 block of Jefferson Paige Road in Caddo Parish.

    Sharon Glover

    On November 14, 1993, Sharon Glover, 27, was found in a ditch on Mount Olive Church Road in Caddo Parish.

    Glover's death was the result of homicidal violence.

    Harold Bruce Cotton

    On February 29, 2004, Harold Bruce Cotton, 52, was found murdered in the back seat of his car on White Springs Road on the Caddo and Desoto Parish Line.

    Robert Gene Jones

    On December 11, 2002, Robert Gene Jones, 48, was discovered murdered in the bedroom of his home on Buncombe Road.

    According to investigators, Jones death is believed to be the result of a robbery.

    Catherine Denise Holmes

    On March 30, 2017, Catherine Denise Holmes was found in a well on the property of 7559 Dixie-Blanchard following a welfare concern check by Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.

    According to Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers, her death was determined to be a homicide.

    Unidentified Persons

    • On June 1, 1991, skeletal remains of a 15–25-year-old male was found at the end of Clyde Fant Parkway on the Red River Bank in Caddo Parish. This man died as the result of homicidal violence.
    • On March 26, 1999, the body of newborn infant was found on Old Mansfield Road. The infant's cause of death is unknown.
