Renovations in the future for Big Rock Stadium

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) — Changes are coming for Big Rock Stadium in Morehead City.

The project to start improvements for the baseball is underway where there’s nearly two million dollars of state funding for the work. While in the early stages, there’s no details on what the upgrades will look like or an exact timeline. Despite this, city leaders are excited for these renovations.

“Big Rock Stadium is a popular place for our locals and our visitors alike to come, whether they’re watching the Morehead City Marlins games or there’s other baseball tournaments or events that take place here throughout the year. So we are excited to see how these improvements can make it even better experience for those who come here,” Public Information Officer for Morehead City Anna Smith said.
