Soccer Game Preview: Firth Heads Out
The Firth Cougars will start their season against the American Falls Beavers. Kickoff is scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. American Falls is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over South Fremont. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Preston boys soccer drops opening matches
The Preston boys opened the soccer season at home against Sugar-Salem, the defending 3A (now 4A) state champions, on Aug. 23. On Aug. 24 they traveled to Shelley and face Highland on Tuesday, Aug. 27 (score unavailable at press time). Thursday, Aug. 29 the Indians travel to Burley to play at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 31 will be at Hillcrest at 11 p.m. Preston travels to Bonneville on Tuesday, Sep. 3 to play at 4:30 p.m.
