SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities in Utah lifted evacuation orders for a wildfire in Salt Lake City that threatened neighborhoods near the state Capitol over the weekend. The pairing, well, rules. Eagle Twin‘s last album, The Thundering Heard (Songs of Hoof and Horn) (review here), came out in 2018, while The Otolith‘s debut, Folium Limina (review here), showed up in 2022, through Southern Lord and Blues Funeral, respectively. But neither is an album-a-year-type outfit, so the fact that they’ve joined forces for Legends of the Desert Vol. 4 is pretty special even before you get to the music. Not the kind of thing that would happen every day, is what I’m saying.
